Remove Your Makeup, Not Your Pride!

Remove Your Makeup Not Your Pride!

Driven by a “tomorrow” that is coming with momentum and calling for a society free of stereotypes and neo-conservative prejudices, Tempo OMD, on behalf of L’Oréal, joined forces with Pride Network to create a podcast that emphasizes the empowerment that makeup offers and the freedom of expression. Tempo OMD’s global axiom + tagline campaign “Remove Your Makeup, Not Your Pride” won audiences and impressions by supporting uniqueness, and was vindicated in the most official way possible, winning the Bronze Award at the Ermis Awards 2023, in the Media category.

The action, carried out on behalf of L’Oréal and related to the Garnier Micellar product, was based on a broad 360 plan with an empowering outreach for a society beyond entrenchment. This audio chronicle, produced by Pride Network, was communicated on the network’s Social Media and on the radio airwaves of Pride 98.6, claiming the attention of the cosmetics company’s listeners and consumers.

Investing in the penetration ensured by YouTube – the medium strategically defined as the main communication channel of energy – the podcast/vidcast where the Afro-Hellenic Idra Kayne, the non binary influencer Zoe Pre and the blind Anna Balan allied, was reproduced in its entirety, while a series of promotional teaser videos shared on Meta’s social media (Facebook + Instagram) and TikTok, highlighted the action that proudly defends the value of being unique, as a person, as a persona, as a woman.

In the podcast Kayne, Pre + Balan speak honestly about the value of loving your skin and your identity without discounting. The three women from three underrepresented groups in mainstream media turn the mic on to speak truths + personal experiences and agree on one thing: makeup can be removed, but the pride inside you never can.

The “Remove Your Makeup, Not Your Pride” podcast is an audio document of empowerment and love for the uniqueness of self-worth loving – our own.

Tempo OMD’s distinction for Garnier’s campaign that reminds us that a life without limitations and stereotypes is the only one worth claiming for all and is a powerful motivation for us at Pride Network to keep striving for a tomorrow that not only accepts, but enhances the diversity and authenticity of each individual.
