28 OKTOVRIOU NEWS SITE COMPRESSED

On the initiative of Politis Group, a new corporate social responsibility campaign honors Greece’s National Day, October 28th, highlighting the values that shaped Greek national consciousness: faith in freedom, unity, and a sense of responsibility.

With respect for historical truth and with the aim of strengthening collective memory and national pride, the campaign brings authentic material from the War Museum into the urban landscape, reminding citizens that these values remain a constant reference point for Greek society.

The War Museum preserves and presents Greek military history and heritage. Through authentic exhibits and archival material, it transmits the memory of the past to new generations, inspiring them with the historical continuity of Greece and emphasizing the timeless meaning of freedom and collective duty.

Within the framework of this collaboration, Politis Group created and launched a campaign featuring actual historical material from the Museum. The campaign is displayed across the company’s Digital Bus Shelter network at key locations throughout Attica. These displays are not advertising content, but informative and symbolic messages dedicated to the memory of the heroes of 1940 and to the enduring value of national consciousness.

Mr. Charis Politis, President of Politis Group, stated:
“October 28th, 1940, is not just a date on the calendar, but a living symbol of faith, courage, and unity. Through our collaboration with the War Museum and the power of modern advertising media, we aim to bring the memory of those days closer to every citizen. The images and messages displayed are not intended merely for promotion, but to connect the past with the present.”

Through its continuously expanding Digital Out of Home network, Politis Group continues to support initiatives that strengthen collective memory and historical awareness, contributing to a society that honors the past, draws inspiration from previous generations, and keeps alive the values of courage, unity, and freedom.

The past brought us to the present, and memory is the force that guides us into the future.
