With a profound sense of honor and responsibility, Politis Group contributed as a proud sponsor to the unveiling ceremony of the Aristotle Onassis statue. The event took place on April 5th at the Olympic Park in Elliniko, where our Group provided high-end digital displays to support the proceedings.

The ceremony, held in an atmosphere of deep emotion and respect, served as a tribute to one of the most iconic figures of modern Greece. It highlighted the visionary spirit and the enduring legacy of Aristotle Onassis in both global entrepreneurship and social contribution.

Organized under the auspices of POLKEOA (Cultural Center of OA Employees) and attended by state officials, local authorities, and a large public audience, the initiative underscored the vital importance of preserving historical memory and cultural heritage.

Politis Group remains a steadfast supporter of actions that promote the culture, history, and values of Greek society. Supporting such initiatives is an integral part of our philosophy and our commitment to actively contributing to the reinforcement of collective memory and cultural continuity.

A key highlight of this project was our ongoing collaboration with the Municipality of Elliniko – Argyroupoli. We share a common vision for the elevation of the region through actions that leave a meaningful social and cultural footprint. This initiative stands as another successful example of our effective partnership.

Politis Group consistently invests in innovative technologies that evolve media and enhance urban living. Guided by technological development and the rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence, which is redefining the future of technology and society, we actively participated in the AI Hackathon 2026 organized by ACE. Our support included both our role as Gold Sponsor and the presentation of a dedicated challenge for the participants.

Our participation in the event represented a meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at strengthening innovation, technological advancement, and most importantly the new generation of students engaged in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

As part of the communication support for the initiative, Politis Group leveraged the power of digital outdoor advertising through its media networks: Digital Billboards Network, Digital Real Time, Digital Bus Shelters, and the Amalias Info Point, located at key points across the city. Through extensive visibility of the AI Hackathon campaign, we enabled students and young audiences to easily discover and learn about the event. Particular emphasis was placed on the use of QR codes integrated into the campaign visuals. With a simple scan from their mobile phones, interested participants could instantly access the registration page and apply to take part in the hackathon. This initiative highlighted in practice the power of outdoor advertising as a direct, interactive, and highly effective communication channel, bridging the physical urban environment with the digital world.

At the same time, Politis Group actively contributed to the event by introducing a dedicated challenge for the hackathon teams. The goal was to give participants the opportunity to develop innovative ideas and solutions using Artificial Intelligence in an environment of collaboration, creativity, and technological experimentation.

We are particularly proud that Marios Georgakopoulos (Corporate Transformation Director – Politis Group) served as one of the judges of the competition, evaluating the innovative AI ideas and solutions presented by the teams. Through his experience and expertise, he contributed to identifying the most impactful proposals.

Additionally, Giorgos Sigas (AI Engineer – Politis Group) participated as a mentor, guiding the teams, helping them overcome technical challenges, and supporting them in transforming their ideas into practical solutions.
