Politis Group donates automated crossing systems to the Municipality of Kifissia

With the aim of enhancing pedestrian safety and improving daily urban life, Politis Group has completed the donation and installation of autonomous pedestrian crossing systems in the center of Kifisia. These new systems were installed at key points along Levidou Street, at the intersections with Kasaveti, Kolokotroni, and Panagitsas streets, improving accessibility and upgrading the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.

The autonomous crossing systems are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including backlit pedestrian crossing signs and energy-autonomous solar panels. These features ensure maximum visibility of the crossings under all conditions even at night or in low-light areas, helping to reduce accidents and enhance safety for both pedestrians and drivers. With the installation of these innovative systems, the commercial center of Kifisia becomes more walkable and friendly to soft mobility.

This initiative is part of Politis Group’s broader strategy to promote sustainable mobility and urban livability.

According to the Group’s President, Mr. Haris Politis, “The donation of autonomous crossing systems to Kifisia is a tangible action in support of road safety and sustainability. We hope to contribute to the creation of a safer and more accessible urban environment for everyone, empowering the use of public spaces.”

The choice of Kifisia – a bustling commercial area with high pedestrian traffic – enhances the effectiveness of the initiative by offering citizens a more accessible and safer experience. This move aligns with modern trends that support micro mobility and encourage residents to choose walking and cycling as primary modes of transportation.

Politis Group warmly thanks the Municipality of Kifisia for its cooperation and remains committed to supporting projects that improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods of Attica, promoting safety, accessibility, and sustainable development.
